Wilderness
Ian Johnson 1997
After successfully finding a deserted beach on lake Gordon, we set up a cosy tent in the sand, lit a fire and cooked etc. In the morning, I took a long swim cooked and boiled the billy and in no time we hit the road.
We remarked "what a great place; you can find camp sites with a view of Eden and the morning sun, no people, 'no' machinery just a couple of beasts in the wilderness."
Returning to the office a few days latter there awaited a facsimile. This went under the letterhead of my good friend and client, talented local yachtsman, businessman and obsessive facsimile user, Greg Muir. It contained an aerial view of the region with an X marking the spot and the note:
"NEXT TIME YOU CAMP AT "xxx" BEACH DON'T KEEP MY CHILDREN AWAKE ALL NIGHT"
